The Octopus Mermaid Series, 10

With this series of work, I continued my work with mermaids and sea creatures, but focused particularly on the octopus. An octopus' shape is fascinating, and I wanted to explore the juxtaposition of the flow of the mermaid’s hair and curl of the octopus’tentacles. I love drawing women’s faces, and strive toward infusing them with strength, beauty, and a bit of mystery. This series of work was done on wooden panels with graphite pencil, acrylic paint and glazing medium, and ink pens.
